A New Chemical Look! (another finished piece!)

Hello there Monday goers! Back once again with another blog post fall of finished work to show off! I so wanted this done by Friday last week but you know how it is with me, sometimes I just do not have it exactly finished just the way I want it! So on I go skipping ahead to the next Monday!

Anyhooo and what not, I hope all is cool this week with mah gibberish readers! Coz I have to say I am feeling pretty good myself! This week I have just gone and done this Chemical Language piece I've been busy getting involved with! This has got a dark gritty mood written all over it! I usually am all about bright colours but not this week I have to say! Check this new Facebook page cover art I've just done for CL! But you tell me, which version do you prefer?! Plus don't forget y'all you can check Chemical Language himself out on Facebook by clicking =====> HERE!!

With logo and shattered glass?

Or without?

Well, there you go, two versions of this but unsure as which one works best! What about you, what do you think? I really love them both in different ways. But I really dig this broken glass effect! I guess it is because my work is normally just flat and comic style. Does not really have a lot of texture compositing so this is a new stance to my regular!

OK, guys I am off to start new projects and get myself involved in all manner of craziness! Enjoy yer Halloween peeps, I am busting outty for now! Toodles!!

Inked Up Chemicals!

Yeah here comes Monday as it rolls in! The best day of the week for so many huh? *sarcastic grin goes up* Me, being freelance days kind'a merge into one like Photoshop layers! Good and bad mind you but fun all the same!
OK ladies and gents here with another few images of my latest Chemical Language piece! Been inking in some illis, just the two. Sadly though I've dropped the evil speakers for something else, still cool but I thought now with this upgraded alien the speakers don't really fit in anymore. I changed them to some chemical monster type guys instead! Take a look see!!

Needs a bit of a tidy up but this here is the Chemical Language alien all inked up! And now for the new addiction, these chemical monsters!!

Again, needs a bit of a clean up but this is it in full swing! As you read this here post I am off colouring in these funky toons! Hopefully by Friday I will be finishing it all off to show you all! Looking good so far peeps! Alright, adios amigos I am out! Toodles!!

Evil Monster Speakers and Burning Acid!

Ah, so you probably noticed I did not write a post on Monday! Well, you are indeed right on that one! Let's just say my weekend was a crazy one thanks to Karl Philips and the Midnight Ramblers! What a show as they supported the great Dreadzone in Bedford! Didn't get to do much in the way of new work though but here is some illustrations for a brand new piece I am doing! It has got something more to do with Chemical Language again! This time I am doing a cover picture for his Facebook page!

Take a peep at how it is going so far ladies and gents! Not yet finished but getting there!

Some evil speakers are lurking in them shadows waiting to invade yer ear space with some menacing bass drops!! Defiantly going for some more craziness with this new cover illustration!

And here is that gas mask Chemical Language alien pouring some burning acid into one evil badass speaker! But CL wants him more evil though (I do like this illustration mind you, shame I might not use it but still...)! Now that he says he want more of an evil look I re drew him a bit and this is what I am coming up with so far! Not yet finished but indeed looking damn near more evil!

So then peeps, what yer think of my new toons? Enjoy this here blog post because I am out to draw some more of this crazy thing! Toodles!!

Coops Logo Sorted!

Woah, I have to say last post was indeed kind of long right? I had a few short posts these past weeks so I thought I really need to write a slightly longer one. But then in the end I think the word, slight was a bit of an under statement!

So, here it is, for my Friday readers, my finished Coops logo I've been working hard on! And I have fit it all into this nice short post! Enjoy!! Head Phone Wearing Double O's with Tangled Barbed Wire!

Wow what a dark gloomy day for England it's been today but somehow in someway it makes being inside with a hot coffee in one hand and a pen drawing cartoons in the other that much more focused! With good tunes pumping through my key phones as I zone out into another world scribbling away to some deep bass lines! It maybe far from perfect outside but in, it's a stones throw away from being a great Monday!
Alright, so here is the latest news on my gibberish art-ventures! I've been busy with a new piece for Dan Cooper otherwise known as Coops. He is an up and coming music producer with some wonderful tunes. An Electronic music artists dipping into the likes of, Ghetto Funk, Glitch Hop to Fidget House and Garage. So, if you like the sound of that be sure to swing by his page by clicking here!

Dan wants his artist name, Coops as his logo but wanted the 00's to be wearing head phones. So I went about whipping up a graff style logo for him. I thought of making C and P kind of shattered as the head phones blasted out, but I guess drawing it they turned into something more than just that. I guess in the end with the headphones showing the jack not plugged in that would not make a lot of sense. However, I did not just want the wire going somewhere out of frame as if they were plugged in but somewhere else. I wanted everything together. This is when I started drawing that C and P into something else. The S is the wire itself as the word, Coop being an even number of letters I thought making the S in another style, detached from the other letters and would help to balance out everything. If this makes sense?

OK, enough with me rambling on, here it is, the first stage, in pencil:

Here is the OO's close up with headphones on. I thought of making another version of them separate as well just because it seems like a cool possible stand a lone picture. I love how the eyes are different, one with a kind of pupil in and the other without, sort of like a blinded eye because of that scare!

I've also have started inking in the C so hopefully by tomorrow the whole thing will be inked and looking good!

But the Coops logo isn't just it as I have been doing some work for Chemical Language as well. Yesterday I started drawing up a frame for his cover photo (on Facebook) artwork. It's been slow getting all this done but will be worth it all in the end! The photo for this is a bit out of focus but it still shows off the piece alright. It is barbed wire wrapped around randomly with chemical slime dripping down. I am deffo looking forward to seeing all this work coloured.

Right, I am off to finish the inking for the Coops logo so I can start colouring in the thing tomorrow. I will be showing off the finished piece come Friday if all goes well. Then on to getting this Chemical Language cover art done! A lot of work to be done this week but will be fun to see everything!
So, see you later gibberish readers! Just wait till this coming Friday, a storm is coming (work wise not weather wise-fucking English weather) :P!! Toodles!!

Surealness with Dubsective!

Another new logo comes to your screens once again this Friday, but not a sketch nor the first stages of one but, the finished article itself!

Hi there Gibberish followers and new time readers! I am here again showing you lot something simple yet totally fun. This week I have been doing a logo design for a guy who goes by the name of, Dubsective. A music producer/DJ who fuses Glitch Hop, Dubstep, Drumstep and Drum 'n' Bass elements together for his tunes. He had a really nice simple logo, more like some kind of symbol that he made himself. It really, even though simplistic, had this real mysterious pull to it that drew you in to his music. He asked me if I could give it a gibberish spin and so I said I was more than happy to give it a go! I was still wanting to keep it simple and effective but at the same time something that oozed character (HA HA)! His original logo kept reminding me of some kind of face or mask in some way, like if it were tribal. Here is my version of it!

My Dubsective logo version

This is the old version so you can see the changes I put in! Not sure why but I so love the simplistic yet weird surreal nature of this logo. I guess in a way I made it less so because I made the circles clearly into eyes but I think I pulled it off well. Do you agree?

Original Dubsective logo

Please, if you like your Electronica to be a wild 'n' crazy do check out Dubsective's Facebook page by clicking here!

OK that is another Friday's blog post finished and done! I am off to do some more stuff for Chemical Language and this guy who goes by the name of Coops! See you on Monday I hope for another Gibber Jabber stab at a blog post! So long my friends! Toodles!!

Chemical Warning!!

Hey there Gibberish peeps!! Check that title out because yet another logo of mine has gone down on the record books as complete and this week it's more of that Chemical Language flavour! Something different and yet something familiar with this here logo. What I mean is, for this logo I have taken my flat comic book art style and applied it to a more 3D type look, adding textures and so on. I don't normally do this with my stuff I have to say but this is looking good. I also, which is new to me, made this dark in colour, desaturated everything to give a more evil and sinister feel! In the end it has come out well and CL himself really loves it. Be sure to check him out and this here logo going on a lot of his stuff! Just click this link to fly over to his Facebook page!

Wow now I am sure hungry! Not eaten today for some silly reason so I am hopping down startings to cook me some pizza! Enjoy the rest of your day everyone! I am out! Toodles!!
