Greek Gods Get a Name Tag

Well Fridays rolled up and here is the latest with my cartoon adventures! I told you guys last week I have been busy with a new illustration/ logo type deal for Greek Gods Records (Click here to check their Facebook page!). I have been busy trying to finish it off this week but when good old Friday came today I've found myself with only half of it actually done! Still, it is going to be great when everything is complete! I am pretty pleased because I rarely do stylized lettering and over the past few weeks of logo work I have managed to get stuck in with trying out different font ideas!
For this week I have finished the, Greek Gods Records name in a kind of graff style lettering. Because of the whole Greek god theme I had the idea of making the lettering like crumbled stone but did not want to make the whole thing grey, like a stone colour! Sounds boring, plus I don't like the idea of colouring a name tag in just grey so instead I made it more colourful! More my kind of thing, a colourful block of stone heehee!!

But also just to show you the rest! It is all inked in and ready to be scanned using my wonderfully banged up scanner LOL!

Some of the lines in this need a bit of a touch up but I can do that after I have scanned this in. Plus, you might think part of the illustration is missing or that random image of the deck wheel in the bottom corner is out of place. The reason being is because it will be joined onto the lettering after. I can then copy and paste it into a place I want rather than making a miss judgement with placing if you get me!

Hope you guys out there reading this like what yer seeing! I think the Zeus image will be more fun to colour in because of the detail and characterisation. I will be showing off the 100% finished illustration this coming Monday I hope!

DJing Greek Gods!

It's more logo designing for me this week but with a slight difference! This logo has more detail than most logos I have done. It kind'a is more of an illustration than a logo but I just could not help myself. I always add more detail and when I am in that zone I just can not stop but to add yet more and more.
The start of this week peeps comes yet another new project but this time from a US based record label known as, Greek Gods Records. Click here to check their Facebook page out! I wanted to put together something god like with DJing and this is what I am coming up with!!

I am really digging the idea of Zeus spinning some tunes on the decks which form the name, Greek Gods Records! It is still early days yet and everything is in pencil! Really wanting to see this all put together and inked up! I drew them separately and will join them later on just in case I want to move things around or adjust them come the last minute! Also so they can just use the name on it's own in that style of writing etc..!

DJ School Logo Coloured!

Oh wow, today I seriously need coffee!! I've been trying my hardest to avoid the stuff but I just can not do it! How bad is that? I am so ashamed LOL!

Anyway peeps 'n' peep-esses out there it is Friday and the start to a (*looks out his window and shudders*) a rainy weekend! Oh the good old English summer!
Well, this week I've just finished that logo for the DJ School opening up soon up north in York! It is only small but has all those bright colours in I so love, the logo I mean not the school :P! I tell you what, these past few weeks have gone into logo madness with my stuff and going into next week too when I start doing a logo design for a record label called, Greek Gods Records but more on that this coming Monday! As of now, take a looks see at the logo I have finished while you get ready for a cloudy weekender!

T-shirt Sale and Logo Design!

Hello there Gibberish readers! How is everyone doing out there? Seems like down here in the UK our summers been a weird one! Been so rainy and sometimes cold then all of a sudden like this weekend out of no where the temp rises up to 32 degrees Celsius, that is 94 degrees Fahrenheit (if my maths is right- AND I suck at maths)

Also that is not it, oh no!! I've also been busy on a logo! With that DJ school illustration I did I have also been doing a logo to sit beside it in style and it's turning out to be great! I love my DJ toons! It is only the first stage as of yet and you might think this looks a bit all over the place but believe you me it will come together nicely soon enough!

Here is what it will look like in the end when all is done. Oh, and this is the rough draft so excuse the crudeness of it all!!

Painting the City in Multi Colour!

With this Friday comes another finished piece of work from me! That Sleepless City piece I started the other week finally gets coloured in and done. Been liking this piece from the first time I started it. Also thought when it was almost done I would do something a bit different with the white out line and it seems to look good! Might play a bit more with this concept for my next up coming pieces! As well as that I am getting into playing around with using that Bitmap effect on Photoshop. For those who not too sure what I mean, it is that spotted look in the background of this piece, lets just leave it at that. Plus I am so crap at explaining myself these days :P. Well, here it is the finished Sleepless City piece of work! I feel this, really I do!! So happy Sleepless City himself loves it to! It is truly an honour to draw for peeps! It's what keeps me alive!

Division 0 = Finished!!

OK, so it's not Monday any longer and once again I am writing up a delayed for Tuesday blog post! But hell, I wanted something finished to show you! This Mon...... Sorry, I mean Tuesday I am showing off to you lot my finished logo on Div 0 for Natok the scripter I told you all about last post! There is nothing yet up on his Division Zero website but soon there will be so click here to go there! Here it is guys, so get yer greasy eyeballs around this and tell me what you think!

I just hope Natok likes it and I am not changing too much here! Oh well, back to my Sleepless City illustration! I am loving that and this Friday so hoping to be publishing the finished version. Did you lot see the inked in one I showed off a few posts back? I am gunning for a Friday post when I will finish it but hey who knows, it might just be for Saturday! Delayed posts better not be this weeks habbit :P!

Dividing Zero into a logo!

Weird title huh? Well, that is the name of the web site I am doing a logo for, well, actually it is Div 0 but I wanted to make a post title out of it and that was the first thing that came to mind! Well, seems it is Friday once again and I find myself typing yet another blog post! Damn, I am starting to really love my blog! Helps me feel motivated and on task!
This Friday I am here to show off the beginnings of another new project! This new project is a kind of illustration logo type thing for another Second Life scripter named, Natok Dryke! You know that game Second Life I once told you about! OK, well not going to explain the thing all over again but Natok here builds, scripts, and sells. A bit like HEN Streeter! Well, a lot like HEN but has his own unique ways and creations! This logo is for one of his website projects he is working on outside the virtual walls of Second Life (Click here to check out his website project).

The logo I drew in parts because that way I can position it around at the end. Oh, sorry, yes, I forgot, the logo is suppose to be an angry geek kind of guy smashing a computer with a keyboard and the name made formed of pixels is leaking out and dissolving (like blood but pixels). It sounds busy for a smallish logo but is fun drawing it out! I still need to ink the rest in and get rid of the pencil marks but it is almost there now! So tell me what you think everyone! I hope yer all like my new work! I hope to finish the thing for this coming Monday but who knows. I am always rushing my work when it comes to those last moments before I publish a post. It explains sometimes why these posts come a day late or get published really late in the evenings! But hey, I so want to show you my stuff! Well, Friday night is calling me so I am jetting off peeps, stay bang tidy y'all!! Toodles!!

Finished DJ School Illustration!

Oi there Monday Gibberish blog readers and welcome to my latest post! How you all doing, all is well huh? Good, because I've been working a bit this weekend to bring you a new finished piece of mine!! This piece is that illustration I showed you a few weeks back which is for the DJ School! Remember? Well anyway, if you don't that is OK because here it is ladies and gents! Like?

This DJ School is actually being started up the crazy breaks duo, Leuce Rhythms (if you want to check out their tunes and so on click here to go to their Facebook fan page). However, an other logo is going to be done for this school but for now I have put up their own logo! I could be doing their other logo so stay tuned peeps! This week will sure be full of logo work but more on that with this up coming Friday post! All right guys and girls I am off to watch, The Dark Knight Rises for the second time and just chill because I do neeeeed a rest in the sun!! Toodles!!

Sleepless City Cartoon!

Here once again all you Gibberish readers out there with yet another Friday blog post! Well, what can I say, after last weeks absence with creating anything new I am back into the drivers seat and it is full steam ahead once again! Got busy with another new illustration these past few days I have! Also finally I've kicked myself to buy some more pens as that DJ illustration I started (and showed you) a few weeks back was a bit tricky to ink in. Plus, not sure why but even though all my pens had run out I still kept them. LOL I was getting lost in a sea of pens that hardly worked to some that were completely dead! So for the first time in ages it was a mass load of inkless pens into the trash and happily using brand new ones! OK, OK so I am obsessed with the certain pens I use. Hell, I even stick to one particular pencil at a time, hailing it as my lucky pencil! But hey, what more can I do? These are my weapons of choice and I am a total dork! But at least I can admit it right? Jak stop it, you are getting carried away here! Giving all you lot way too much info out on my geekiness here! Well this new illustration I am doing is for another DJ/ Music producer named, Preston Jobe A.K.A Sleepless City (If you guys want to check out this guys tunes head down to his Facebook page by clicking here)! So then, what do you guys think so far? Looking forward to colouring it in that is for sure!

I know I did say I might of coloured in that other DJ illi I was working on but I will deffo be showing that all finished next week! It's been brilliant colouring it in and so far so good so remember to look out for it soon! Right before I go ahead and make this post way too wordy I am off to watch... Yes you guessed it...
